Complete Steps for AgentForce Setup

Step 1: Power Up Your Features

Let’s make sure everything’s ready to roll with your key features:

Click Setup. The Setup page opens in a new tab.
In the Setup Quick Find, search for and select Einstein Setup.
Click the Turn on Einstein toggle, and make sure Einstein is On.
Refresh your browser to reload Setup.
In the Setup Quick Find, search for and select Agents.
Click the Agentforce toggle, and ensure it is set to On.

Step 2: Is Your Experience Cloud Site LIVE?

Your agent will interact with customers through an Experience Cloud site. Follow the below steps to publish it:

Find “All Sites” in the setup.
Next to your site (e.g., “coral-cloud”), click “Builder.”
Click “Publish” in the upper right corner.
Confirm by clicking “Publish” again.

Step 3: Assign Permission Sets

Your agent needs specific permissions to function properly:

In Setup, look for “Users” and select it.
Click on the “EinsteinServiceAgent” user.
Go to “Permission Set Assignments.” There, you have to press “Edit Assignments.”
Now, add “Service Agent Permissions” to the switched-ON permission sets.
Click “Save.”

Step 4: Create Your Agent

In Setup, search for “Agents” and select it.
Click “+ New Agent.”

Deselect all topics except “General FAQ” and click “Next.”
Name your agent (e.g., “CC Service Agent”).
Select “EinsteinServiceAgent” as the user.
Click “Next,” then “Create.”

Step 5: Add Custom Topics and Actions

Time has come to add a little personality to your agent to handle specific tasks:

Add a New Topic:

Click “New” and select “New Topic” in Agent Builder.

Click “Next,” then “Finish.”

Select the topic you just created.
Go to “This Topic’s Actions” and click “New,” then “Add Action.”
